Dear Colleagues in Talented and Gifted Education,

Please see the Oregon Association for the Gifted (OATAG)  invitation to attend and participate in the Oregon Statewide Talented and Gifted Education Conference jointly sponsored by the Oregon Department of Education and OATAG on October  11 and 12 at Woodburn High School, Woodburn, Oregon.  The conference presentations will highlight the needs of both educators and parents.  On Saturday, presentations will be in Spanish and English. The Oregon Association for Talented and Gifted (OATAG) in collaboration with the Oregon Department of Education announces its 2013 Conference:

Different Minds:  Supporting Diversity Among TAG Students.


*       The statewide conference focuses on TAG, ELL, and 2E students,.

*       The conference features keynote speaker Dr. Jaime Castellano, a nationally recognized expert and author on English Language Learners and Talented and Gifted Education

*       Other speakers include David Bautista, Assistant Superintendent in the Office of Equity at the Oregon Department of Education, and Rebecca Blocher, State Specialist in Talented and Gifted Education.
