*Jenni Goes to Washington!*

Representative Greg Walden invited Jenni Word to testify at a hearing
before the House Committee on Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on
Communications and Technology.  The hearing was entitled “Realizing the
Benefits of Rural Broadband: Challenges and Solutions”. Six witnesses were
invited to present testimony including Jenni.  Jenni was the only witness
representing rural healthcare.  She is the Associate Administrator and
Chief Nursing Officer for Wallowa Memorial Hospital in Enterprise, Oregon.
She spoke eloquently about the need for broadband in rural areas to support
health care and the immense difference having telehealth made in the lives
of rural people.
