<p class=MsoNormal>As you are likely aware, on Tuesday, August 3rd, U.S. Bank
experienced a power outage, which caused a number of delays in the processing
of both transactions and reporting. Treasury was informed of the incident
early on the morning of Wednesday, August 4th and worked with the bank,
agencies, and local governments throughout the remainder of that day, and the
ensuing days, to communicate about and resolve actual and potential funding and
posting delays related to the incident. Treasury has completed its own
initial internal ‘lessons learned’ exercise, and would like to
solicit your feedback regarding our communication during this incident.
The survey found at the following link is aimed at capturing this input.
It is also intended to prompt you to think about your own business continuity
procedures as they relate to banking processes. The survey has 25 questions and
