I am writing to remind you about a fall book study opportunity for teacher preparation faculty on Teaching with a Social, Emotional and Cultural Lens. I will be sending the complementary books out later this month and want to make sure that everyone who is interested in participating gets a book. Hello EPP leadership and leaders,

I wanted to let you know about an opportunity through TSPC for a two-part "book study" with Nancy Markowitz, author of the book Teaching with a Social, Emotional and Cultural Lens. Dr. Markowitz is the director of the Center for Reaching and Teaching the Whole Child (CRTWC) which builds upon the work of the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL) to provide a framework for university faculty to bring a social, emotional and cultural lens to their courses and fieldwork experiences.

If you, or any of your colleagues, are interested in registering for this event, please use this Google Form<https://forms.gle/e6qKeu2X7foXnjij8> to register. This will be a low-pressure opportunity to collaborate with other EPPs, hear about the great work happening in programs around our state and discuss the new and growing field of SEL in teacher preparation. All participants will also receive a free copy of Dr. Markowitz's book.
