Scott,

Great questions! Please find my responses below.

  * One group of 3 students have taken and passed the test. Would the current program allow for a reimbursement?
As long as these candidates qualify under the "diverse" definition, they would qualify for reimbursement when they apply for an Oregon license. When they apply for their license, they can submit a form and receipts to our office. More information on how to start that process can be found here: TSPC : Diversity License Expense Reimbursements : Financial Assistance : State of Oregon<https://www.oregon.gov/tspc/FA/Pages/Reimbursements.aspx>.

  * Another group of 3 students took the test, but did not pass. Would the program allow for a reimbursement in this case? And/or would the voucher be available to them for the second test?
Yes, same answer as above. In the meantime, you can offer them vouchers to take the test again.
Please let me know if I missed anything.
Best,

Hi Shara. I appreciate the availability of these edTPA vouchers. Please see attached the request from Lewis & Clark (13 vouchers).

I have a few questions about our students who qualify for the NES voucher:

  * One group of 3 students have taken and passed the test. Would the current program allow for a reimbursement?
  * Another group of 3 students took the test, but did not pass. Would the program allow for a reimbursement in this case? And/or would the voucher be available to them for the second test?
Thanks for your support and guidance here.

My best.
-Scott

Hello, Program Liaisons!

Please find the updated testing voucher order form attached. The previous version still works; however, I needed to correct my email address. I apologize if you have been unable to reach me to order vouchers due to this error.

Also, I am currently working on completing all voucher orders for October. Therefore, if you submitted an order this month, you should receive your vouchers early next week.

You can find more information below for those interested in taking advantage of the program. And as always, please reach out to me with any questions.

Best regards,

VOUCHER PROGRAM INFORMATION:

The Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC), in collaboration with the Educator Advancement Council (EAC), has created a program to support our aim of reducing financial barriers to licensure. TSPC-approved Educator Preparation Providers (EPPs) may now request prepaid test vouchers to disburse to qualified candidates[1]. There is no cost to the candidates or EPPs to participate.

To order and receive vouchers, the EPP or their designee must complete the attached voucher form and agree only to issue the provided vouchers to candidates who:

  * are enrolled in or have recently[2] completed the institution's preparation program,
  * intend to apply for a teaching license or endorsement in Oregon, and
  * meet the "diverse definition" as defined in ORS 342.433<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Foregon.public.law%2Fstatutes%2Fors_342.433&data=05%7C01%7CShara.MONDRAGON%40tspc.oregon.gov%7Cc2c0c3510d864879ce1608dac0e71d4d%7Caa3f6932fa7c47b4a0cea598cad161cf%7C0%7C0%7C638034396114664622%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=bemavTA2Hzj0dohjkco6kTxBsUix0jrsDUFX5HkdErY%3D&reserved=0>.
Additionally, the EPP must maintain a list of all candidates who receive vouchers and make that information available to TSPC when requested.

Please see the form for more details on how to get the voucher ordering process started, and feel free to email me with any questions.
