Sephe-
Thank you for the reminder. I don't think I made the purpose behind the charter explicitly clear in the FIT lead meeting. Possibly the most important part of the charter is the goals section. Each team has the opportunity to define their goals and ultimately what they want to spend their energy on. Its an opportunity for the FIT to communicate to OGIC what each theme is working on.
OGIC has recently approved a strategic plan and a work plan which includes goals and objectives for the framework program. My thought behind the charter was to make sure the goals and vision each theme has are communicated to OGIC and don't get 'lost in the shuffle'. Admittedly, the utilities theme is in a tough spot with security, data sharing agreements, and lack of data stewards as blockers. I'd encourage some thought what steps could help move the dial - big or small.

I'm planning on joining the meeting as well and look forward to meeting the team.

Subject: [Utilities_fit] May 24th Utilities FIT Meeting
Good afternoon, teammates!
I hope you're all enjoying this beautiful spring weather.
I just wanted to check in about the meeting to discuss creating a charter for the Utilities FIT, scheduled for May 24th. Thanks to those who have responded, however, so far we've had only 2 attending responses, plus a tentative. I'm just wondering if there's a day or time that might be better for people, so we could potentially have greater collaboration? I realize people have a lot going on, but I'd love to figure out how to facilitate a meaningful discussion without imposing on your time too much. Would it be better for people to send thoughts by email or within the Teams meeting chat about the elements that might be included in a FIT charter? We've been tasked with completing this exercise by June.
Thank you,
