<p class="MsoNormal">I try to make it shorter each year – not really, but over time I’ve eliminated several questions for which I don’t really use the data and neither does anyone else.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">This year, I stopped asking for registration and completion numbers, because an increasing number of libraries no longer use traditional registration or completion methods. It’s been apple-orange salad to try to make a statement about SRP
completion rates statewide. Instead, I’m just asking for the number of individuals (by age group) who participated in SLP/SRP (by the library’s definition of participation), and the head count at SLP/SRP-related programs.

<p class="MsoNormal">Also, I’m no longer asking if libraries used the CSLP theme. I continue to solicit their ratings and comments on CSLP services and products (“Did not use” is a choice in the ratings question).<o:p></o:p></p>
