Hello Answerlanders,
See below for an official communication about upcoming changes to QuestionPoint.
In brief, they will be updating the librarian chat interface - moving it from Flash to HTML5, and making it mobile friendly.
They will be testing in February (I am listed as a contact for testing), developing in spring, and hopefully releasing in summer.
Let me know if you have questions or comments.

Subject: [QUESTIONPOINT-L] Update on QuestionPoint enhancement plans

Thanks for your questions and comments on the status of our QuestionPoint enhancement plans! Your input has helped us prioritize plans for 2018 and beyond.

We're moving ahead with enhancements requested by the community, in addition to infrastructure changes that will enable the service to continue to grow. Our goal is to devote available resources to requested modifications that will have the most impact on the entire community.

Our initial focus is on a refresh of the QuestionPoint Chat Monitor.
Moving from the current Flash-based software to HTML5 will give you a more contemporary look and provide a foundation for future enhancements. Your detailed comments about how the interface can better support your workflows are extremely useful in guiding our interface design decisions.

When will you see changes? We plan to begin user testing in February, move into development during spring 2018, and release the refreshed Chat Monitor later in the year.

As this work progresses, our attention to improving the efficiency of your virtual reference service will include providing access to the librarian interface on mobile devices.

Thanks again for partnering with us on QuestionPoint enhancements! We are committed to evolving the QuestionPoint user experience for library staff and users, and look forward to sharing additional information as development continues.

Many thanks.
Tom
