I've misplaced my login credentials, but the OSU Extension Office is my go-to for this kind of question. Their entry on the Strawberry Tree does not mention that it is in any way invasive, although it's non-native.

Subject: [Answerland] Question to answer about Arbutus unedo (strawberry tree)

Hello Answerlanders,

A patron has a question:

"Is Arbutus unedo an invasive tree in Oregon? It is also known as the Strawberry Tree. I would like to add a Strawberry Tree to my landscape but wonder if it will compete with the related native madrone tree."

If you have resources or ideas, here's the ticket: https://answerland.libanswers.com/admin/ticket?qid=6184109
