[Iscn-members] Energy and GHG Impacts of Remote Working

All,

The attached paper provides a methodology for how to easily estimate the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and energy use of your remote workers. While we know that with Covid we have seen, in some cases, declines in energy use and GHG emissions in our state buildings, we are also shifting these impacts to the home. This paper can help capture that shift.

If you are interested in applying this methodology for your agency (probably the No Survey approach), ODOE can provide regional GHG emission factors for our natural gas and electricity use. Our DAS Chief Human Resources Office is also capturing, through timesheet coding, who is telecommuting and at what frequency. I am also happy to help anyone who is interested step through this.

Thanks much,

Dave
