Presentation: State of Oregon Climate Equity Blueprint
As Oregon's climate changes, many communities experiencing the worst effects are communities of color as well as indigenous, low income and rural communities. Come learn about the Climate Equity Blueprint, recently published<https://www.google.com/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.oregon.gov%2Flcd%2FCL%2FPages%2FAdaptation-Framework.aspx&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNGrOVQOrEt-VJFeeuGVbKa2CQH4ug> by the state of Oregon to guide agencies as they work to implement the revised State of Oregon Climate Adaptation Framework and address issues around climate equity and justice.



Speaker Bio
Christine Shirley, Climate Resilience Coordinator at the Department of Land Conservation and Development<https://www.google.com/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.oregon.gov%2Flcd%2FCL%2FPages%2Findex.aspx&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNHUb3gQNJIavNgnHrDEDI551baiWQ> (DLCD), has been coordinating production of the Climate Change Adaptation Framework for two years with staff representing 24 state agencies. The Climate Equity Blueprint grew out of the Framework staff's recognition that issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion would play a central role in successful climate change adaptation. Prior to this position she served 12 years at DLCD as the National Flood Insurance Program Coordinator and Natural Hazards Program lead.
