[kids-lib] Mock Coretta Scott King Award coordinator - This could be you!

Hello all!

The Children's Services Division is looking for a coordinator for the next
year's Mock award workshop. We are very excited to announce that we choose
to explore the Coretta Scott King award and all the talented authors &
illustrators that the committee honors each year.

If you have been looking for a way to participate in OLA without the
year-long (or more) commitment, this is the perfect opportunity!

*CSD Mock Workshop Coordinator:Bring the excitement of the ALA literary
awards to Oregon! The CSD Mock Workshop Chairperson coordinates an event
celebrating one of the many ALA awards at a state level. You'll coordinate
the event and lead a wonderful group of people in voting on who will
receive the mock award. Past mock workshops include the Caldecott, Newbery,
Seibert and Geisel, but any of the many wonderful ALA youth media awards
given each year are possible workshop themes.*

*Responsibilities: Recruit and organize a small team to coordinate a
statewide, Mock award workshop including choosing a workshop location,
selecting materials to be discussed, arranging for or providing a related
presentation or program as part of the workshop, assisting in event
promotion, and overseeing day-of operations.*
