Hi folks,

The Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) is hoping to receive more grant applications from libraries. Yes, that's right, they are specifically calling for more applications from libraries. Following an assessment of library needs in 2015, OCF donors began contributing to a pooled fund at OCF, from which grants are made through the Community Grants Program.

Applications are due by January 15 for a grant decision in early May. You can get details on how to apply here: https://www.oregoncf.org/Community-Grants

Please note: Awards are not made to support ongoing programs at their current level of operation. Rather, awards are made to expand programs, build capacity, or support capital projects. Also, OCF wants to see evidence that the community is engaged in the nonprofit’s (or library’s) work and financially supportive of the project. The award range is $5,000-$50,000.

If you have questions, please contact OCF senior program officer Megan Schumaker at mschumaker at oregoncf.org or 503.227.6846. Also, if you have any other listservs to which this message would be appropriate to send (e.g. library consortia), please pass it on! Friends and Foundation groups are also eligible to apply.

Cheers!
Buzzy
