The next installment of the ACRL OnPoint Chat series, "Why Didn't I
Think of That? Finding Innovation in Your Library," will take place on
Thursday, June 11 at 12:00 p.m. Central time (10:00 a.m. Pacific | 11:00
a.m. Mountain | 12:00 p.m. Central | 1:00 p.m. Eastern).

This OnPoint chat will use participants' experiences to understand how
innovation does (and does not) occur in the academic library
environment. Drawing on individuals' successes and failures, the
convener will identify obstacles to innovation, discuss various models
and theories of innovation, and consider how the individual fits in the
innovative organization. David Dahl, Emerging Technologies Librarian at
Towson University, will convene the June 11th chat.

ACRL OnPoint is a live series of informal monthly text-based chat
sessions. All ACRL OnPoint chats are free and open to the public.
Sessions are unmoderated, one hour in length and take place in a Meebo
chat room (no audio or video). Chats are limited to 80 concurrent
participants and will be delivered on a first-come-first-served basis.
For additional information, including access information and archives of
past sessions, visit the OnPoint website at

ACRL is a division of the American Library Association, representing
more than 13,000 academic and research librarians and interested
individuals. ACRL is the only individual membership organization in
North America that develops programs, products and services to meet the
unique needs of academic and research librarians. Its initiatives enable
the higher education community to understand the role that academic
libraries play in the teaching, learning and research environments.
