The Library Resource Center at Mt. Hood Community College is accepting applications for a part-time Librarian - Instruction and Reference. This position develops and teaches subject-specific library instruction classes, provides reference services, and collaborates with faculty librarians and other library staff on special projects. This position begins work on Monday September 14, 2009. The librarian will be scheduled to work 14 hours per week: Monday and Tuesday, 11am to 7pm. These hours will be in effect for Fall 2009 and Winter 2010: mid September - early December 2009 and early January - mid March 2010. Hours for Spring 2010 are to be determined, contingent upon funding. 

Minimum qualifications: ALA accredited master's degree (or higher) in Library Science.
Experience teaching in an academic setting. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse faculty, students and staff. Please note: you must meet all of the stated requirements in order to be considered for this position.
