County Cooperative Library Services Outreach Department:


Librarian I - Bilingual English/Spanish
Closes: Friday July 9, 2010
Hillsboro, OR

The Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS) is accepting
applications for a full-time Bilingual English/Spanish Librarian.

Duties & Responsibilities:
In association with the Outreach Program Supervisor, WCCLS team members
and associated libraries, this position is responsible for providing
library outreach to the Latino population.

Qualifications:
A Master's level education in Library Science from an ALA accredited
program is required.  Extensive experience in a professional-level
librarian position may substitute for the degree requirement.
Knowledge of Spanish language, spelling, grammar and punctuation is
required.  Applicant must possess skill in writing Spanish accurately,
the ability to speak Spanish fluently, and the ability to communicate in
Spanish, both orally and in writing.

Work Schedule:
40 hours per week.  General schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am -
5pm, with fairly frequent need to work evening and weekend hours.

Salary & Benefits:
$3,713 - $4,512 / monthly.  Washington County offers a comprehensive
benefits package.
