Did you see this? EveryLibrary has come to Oregon. I am sure Erica
Findley helped make this happen.

the first national Political Action Committee (PAC) for libraries, today
announces its support for the library community in Cornelius, Oregon as
they campaign for the Cornelius Public Library Bond on the November 5th,
2013 mail-in ballot. This $2.4 million dollar bond will fund a portion of
the cost for the design and construction of a new 16,000 square foot
library building with senior housing above. EveryLibrary is pledging $1,000
in financial support to the "Yes for Cornelius
Library<http://yesforcorneliuslibrary.org/>"
committee for voter education and get out the vote activities. If
successful, new bond authority for the Cornelius Public Library will
provide more space for collections and computers and new areas for adult,
teen, and children's programming, along with community meetings and youth
recreation.
In a poll of registered
voters<http://yesforcorneliuslibrary.org/content/library-bond-poll>,
over 90% said that more space in the library is important for services such
as children's literacy programs, homework help, children's materials, and
quiet study spaces. Passing this library bond means that families and
school groups would not have to travel to Hillsboro or Forest Grove for
larger spaces and a better selection of materials. "This project is the
result of a creative partnership that will result in a muti-faceted asset
for use by the entire community. We are excited to have the opportunity to
assist with this project and look forward to seeing its completion." says
J. Brad Coffey, Chair of the Yes for Cornelius Library
committee<http://yesforcorneliuslibrary.org/content/about-us>
.
"Yes for Cornelius Library" is a citizens' committee dedicated to ensuring
that the Cornelius Public Library receives the funds it needs to serve the
community through the Cornelius Public Library Bond. The committee has set
up a website at http://yesforcorneliuslibrary.org/ and you can also find
them on Facebook <https://www.facebook.com/YesForCorneliusLibrary>.
EveryLibrary is a politically active organization and is supported by
contributions <http://everylibrary.org/donate> from citizens nationwide who
believe that libraries matter in our society. You can learn more about
EveryLibrary and its work building voter support for libraries at
