Archives and Record Management Specialist

Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, is seeking an Archives and Record Management Specialist. The archivist will lead the development and maintenance of institutional archive repository and records management strategies, services, and systems. This position will process records; facilitate user access; manage multiple formats; and support innovation in creating, storing and preserving institutional records, media, manuscripts, and artifacts. Lane CC contributes to Northwest Digital Archives and is a member of the Orbis Cascade Alliance. One year of post-secondary education in library science or archives and records management is required, MLS/MLIS preferred. Two years of experience in archives or library required. Equivalent field work, paid internships, grant projects in an archives, historical repository, or electronic records program may be considered qualifying. The successful applicant will enter into a half-time 12-month classified position. This position reports to the Library Director and will be part of the Library staff.

Duties and Responsibilities: The Art and Architecture Librarian has responsibility for developing collections and services to support scholarly users of information, serving as the primary liaison with the Department of Art, the Department of the History of Art and Architecture, and the Arts and Administration, Product Design, and Digital Arts programs. This position provides reference and research consultation, collection development, and instructional and outreach services in art history, architecture, fine arts, and related disciplines. Service on library and campus committees is expected. Other related duties and projects will be assigned. Library faculty members are also encouraged to be professionally active through involvement in regional and national associations, research, or publication. This position is located in the Architecture & Allied Arts Library, and reports to the head of that department. The Oregon Institute of Technology Library is seeking a creative, technology-savvy, and enthusiastic librarian to serve as instruction coordinator at our Klamath Falls, OR campus. The library serves over 3000 students and is a member of the Orbis Cascade Alliance. The successful applicant will enter as Instructor or Assistant Professor into a full time, 12 month, non-tenure track faculty position (based upon qualifications). This position reports to the Director and will be part of the library management team. The instruction coordinator will lead the library information literacy program and will develop, implement, deliver and assess the current and future library instructional needs of the institution including e-learning content.
