Greetings from the Answerland Quality Team, and happy 2015 to everyone!
With the new year, we've had some changes in the Answerland Quality Team.
Hillary Ostlund, who joined us in 2013, needs to step off the team due to
the demands of her job. As Branch Manager of Hillsboro Public Library's
Shute Park Branch, Hillary's focus is on serving her community and finding
innovative ways to prove the value of the library in that community. We
will miss her inspiring talks at the Notable Transcript presentations.
We are happy to welcome Ann-Marie Anderson to the team. Ann-Marie has been
working in public libraries for over ten years, after starting her career
in law and university libraries. She is an Adult Services Librarian at the
Tigard Public Library in Oregon, where her job includes reference work,
collection development, programming, and outreach to homebound seniors. In
her off-work time, she hikes with her dog and volunteers as website
designer and administrator for a nonprofit organization involved in
downtown revitalization in her adopted hometown of Dayton.
Just a reminder that the Answerland Quality Team welcomes any and all
nominations for notable transcripts for chats, emails, and texts. It’s
easy: Just send an email to any member of the team with the question number
(or a link to the transcript) of any chat, email, or text that you think
stands out among the fine work that staffers do every day. The team will do
the rest!
Cheers,
*The Answerland Quality Team*
