This is a great question, Paul!

Here at Driftwood, we have added several books to our non-fiction collection on small-scale cultivation, hydroponic cultivation, and on medical uses for marijuana specifically. Even prior to the passage of the bill legalizing it for recreational use, we had a number of patrons interested in its medical use. We've been trying to find a magazine or journal that's reliably published and covers these aspects, because of community interest, but we've been striking out. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'd be happy to share the items we've recently purchased, as well. These do tend to be high-theft items, so we're watching for that aspect of it. I'm curious whether its legalization will have the side effect of less theft of the items related to marijuana and cultivation.

As we move toward July, I'm also considering having an informational session on "What legalization means for you" for the public, since we've had a lot of questions about how exactly this will affect our residents.

I agree with Max in that I would like to know how libraries are planning to serve, and bring into the library, this budding (sorry, couldn't help it) new demographic.
