Duties for this part-time position include programming for a variety of ages from birth to 18 years, with a focus on teen services. Experience planning and implementing library programs and story times, offering readers' advisory and assisting patrons with technology in a library setting is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience working with youth of all ages, be able to work with a variety of people and possess excellent communication skills. The Digital Collections Coordinator is a newly created, full time position within the Colorado State Library. The position is open to experienced information professionals with strong project management and facilitation skills. Candidates should be interested in exploring and supporting expanded access to digital collections from Colorado libraries, archives, government agencies and cultural heritage organizations. The position will be responsible for maintaining and growing Colorado's collective digital presence through cooperative digitization and preservation initiatives. This would include but not be limited to coordinating and collaborating with digitization partners and vendors for the creation of digital content; liaising with key stakeholders within the library, archive and cultural heritage communities to develop and foster partnerships; providing training and consulting to institutions and organizations to help them gain awareness of issues related to digital collections, copyright, preservation and metadata standards.
