Subject: [lita-l] Give ALA Task Force feedback about tech competencies for
LIS white paper
To: "lita-l at lists.ala.org" <lita-l at lists.ala.org>

The ALA Task Force on the Context of Future Accreditation is seeking
feedback from library practitioners with a particular emphasis on those who
have hiring authority for librarians within their libraries. We invite you
to respond to a five-question open-ended survey. Responses will inform the
writing of a white paper.

The Task Force is interested in learning from practitioners what current
and expected trends accreditation of LIS programs should take into
consideration. This includes competencies related to technology and its
use, but feedback in any area is welcome. The survey results will be used
to provide the Task Force with a view from librarianship itself to
complement the feedback already gathered from LIS educators.

You may access the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SLIMEmployer

The survey will close at the end of day on Friday, May 27, 2016. Should
you have any questions, please contact task force chair Peter Hepburn at
peter.hepburn at canyons.edu.
