Dear Colleagues,

As previously announced, the Oregon Library Association initiated a new
scholarship program this Fall with the intention of awarding three
scholarships, each up to $1000, annually to support the leadership
development of the membership and contribute to the growth of leadership
potential within OLA and libraries statewide. All OLA members, regardless
of position, degree, or employment, are eligible to apply.

The first application deadline is November 30, and the applicants should
expect to hear back from the review committee by December 15. The
scholarship can fund in-person or virtual courses, seminars, conferences,
or any other format available in the areas of leadership development,
conflict management, and communication. Examples of these opportunities
are listed here
<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1beSjKbhUDKgMn3ckEI51e3XAjWTFYn3j16Y6rZZsJ5k/edit#gid=684387775>,
however, scholarships are not limited to these programs.

For further information, including the application and evaluation matrix,
please see

Thank you,
Elaine Hirsch
