On Tuesday, September 20, 2-3pm CT, the Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA), will offer a new webinar on how to effectively market and advocate for the library to elected officials.
Marketing and Advocacy: Explaining Libraries to Elected Officials<http://www.ala.org/ascla/marketing-and-advocacy>, taught by Paula Laurita, Director of Athens-Limestone Public Library, blends library marketing and advocacy into easy, applicable methods on a low budget for all types of libraries. Participants will learn how to easily communicate the library’s mission, how to advocate for the library and how the library can be advocated for on behalf of community members. New and seasoned library staff working in marketing, outreach or building support will benefit from this session.
