Three librarians from Corvallis-Benton County Public Library will speak :

10:00 AM Enrich, Excite, Explore: Programs & Events at the Corvallis Benton-County Public Library, by Bonnie Brzozowski
Bonnie Brzozowski is a Reference Librarian at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library. The Corvallis-Benton County Public Library offers programs and events that are often unexpected, fun, and fulfill the library’s three word mission: enrich, excite, explore. A sample of successful programs and events will be highlighted and details about how they were developed including information about the partnerships that make most of them possible will be included.

10:30 AM Empathy in Design Thinking, by Kristy Kemper Hodge
Kristy Kemper Hodge, is a youth librarian at the Corvallis-Benton County public library. She recently attended a school library conference where a speaker posited that empathy is a first and integral step in design thinking, and then proved it through fun and engaged exercises. She’d like to share this talk with you!

11:00 AM Future of the Corvallis Library, by Ashlee Chavez
Ashlee Chavez became the Library Director of the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library in May 2017. She will share with us her vision for the future of the Library. With a Facility Needs Assessment of the Corvallis Library by Hacker Architects recently completed in October 2017, Library staff is looking towards the future and what our community’s needs are. Ideas for potential new spaces and services will be shared and feedback would be very welcomed.

We hope to see you there!
