An Infopeople 4-week online course, October 17, 2017 – November 13, 2017
When people interact with the library online, they need to encounter content that’s relevant and meaningful. Random social media posts promoting library events are not going to effectively engage people. Content marketing is a form of marketing that uses compelling content to attract people to your organization and it’s a great fit for libraries.
Do you want to consistently create and share online content that library users find genuinely useful? Are you uncertain about the effectiveness of your library’s social media efforts? Would you like a better understanding of how to optimize content for sharing? During this course, you will learn to create a content strategy, utilize best practices for creating and sharing online content, and use various metrics to help measure content marketing
This course will include 4 fun and interactive online meetings led by the instructor, which have been scheduled for these dates:

· Friday, Oct 20, 2017 @ 9am Pacific/Noon Eastern

· Friday, Oct 27, 2017 @ 9am Pacific/Noon Eastern

· Friday, Nov 3, 2017 @ 9am Pacific/Noon Eastern

· Friday, Nov 10, 2017 @ 9am Pacific/Noon Eastern
The course instructor, Laura Solomon, is a dynamic online presenter. She is the author of three books about social media, specifically for libraries. Her latest book is titled The Librarians' Nitty-Gritty Guide to Content Marketing.
