Hello All,

Catlin Gabel School is seeking a Middle School Library Assistant to assist
in the responsibilities for the vision, leadership, and operation of the
Middle School Library as a vital intellectual and community center of the
school.  This position will assist in library functions and help to
maintain the library as an attractive, welcoming, space for reading,
studying, and researching needs for diverse populations.

Some other duties may include:

   - Help maintain the library as an attractive, welcoming, efficiently run
   space for reading, studying, and researching needs for diverse populations.
   - Create, maintain, and update reading, and resource lists and displays.
   - Catalog and process materials for the MS Library using Follett Destiny.
   - Help manage circulation including placing holds, sending
   notifications, and shelving of library materials, working with volunteers,
   and running reports on circulation and library usage.
   - Work with the librarian on special projects, as assigned.
   - Supervise students in the library. Supervision includes 3:30-6:00 pm
   after school, promoting a positive environment for students, and
   communicating with parents/guardians who arrive for student pick-up.

*Hours for this position are from 1 pm to 6 pm on weekdays when school is
in session.*
