  *   Jan Sandberg (Electronic Resources Librarian) will be presenting: We often work with personal names when cataloging, describing archival collections, or doing metadata work. This work can bring up questions of ethics and social justice. In this session, we'll look at how critical cataloging can help us work through questions of privacy, representation, bias, discoverability, and righting past wrongs. We'll pay particular attention to the 2016 "Report of the PCC Ad Hoc Task Group on Gender in Name Authority Records". I'll also talk about my experience editing the book "Ethical Questions in Name Authority Control".
