Measure- 01-106 - Baker Count Library District - Renewal of Local Five Year Option Tax for Library Operations
QUESTION:
Shall Baker County Library District impose $0.249 per $1,000 of assessed value for general operations for five years beginning 2022-23? This measure renews current local option taxes.


SUMMARY:

This measure will renew the current local option tax that will expire after tax year 2021-2022. If renewed, the tax revenue will sustain funding for maintenance for Baker County library facilities and general operations for five years. This replacement levy would run from 2022-2023 tax year through 2026-2027 tax year.



The proposed rate will raise approximately $413,087 in 2022-23, $421,349 in 2023-24, $429,776 in 2024-25, $438,372 in 2025-26, and $447,139 in 2026-27 for a total of $2,149,724.

Measure- 26-221 - Multnomah County - Five year levy: Oregon Historical Society Library, Museum, educational programs
QUESTION:
Shall County renew 5-year history museum, library, educational programs levy; maintain $.05 per $1,000 assessed value, oversight, beginning 2021? This measure renews current local option taxes.

SUMMARY:
In 2016 voters approved a five-year local option levy of $.05 per $1,000 assessed property value to support the Oregon Historical Society (OHS). Renewal of this levy will continue support to the OHS's museum, library, educational programs, and fund the following without increasing taxes for Educational programs; Free admission to school groups and Multnomah County residents; Preservation of important Oregon treasures and artifacts; Support four County historical societies: Fairview-Rockwood-Wilkes Historical Society, Gresham Historical Society, Troutdale Historical Society, and Crown Point Country Historical Society; OHS will continue to build on its efforts to provide exhibits and services that reflect the diverse histories of our region, and engage all parts of our county.
Levy continues rate of $.05 per $1,000 assessed property value, and replaces the 2016 levy. A home assessed at $200,000 pays $10 a year.

Measure- 24-457 - City of Stayton - Five Year Local Option Tax for Library Support
QUESTION:
Should City of Stayton impose $0.40 per $1,000 of assessed value for Library operations for five years beginning in 2021-2022? This measure may cause property taxes to increase more than three percent.

SUMMARY:

The City of Stayton is seeking a five-year local option tax of $0.40 per $1,000 of assessed value, beginning Fiscal Year 2021-2022, to continue funding support of the Stayton Public Library.



The proposed tax will take the place of the existing four-year local option tax for support of the parks, pool and library which was passed in 2016, and ends on June 30, 2021.



The levy is necessary to maintain services, operations, and assist with capital improvements for the Stayton Public Library.



The proposed rate will raise approximately $256,149 in 2021-22, $263,833 in 2022-23, $271,748 in 2023-24, $279,900 in 2024-25, and $288,297 in 2025-26 for a total of $1,359,927.
