We have all received career help along the way from others with more
knowledge and experience, and we have all helped others in furthering their
career goals. Sometimes this help is provided consciously, through
structured mentorship, but mentorship can also happen by chance in an
informal setting.

Mentorship benefits both the mentor and the mentee by opening a
conversation in which both participants can share their perspectives and
learn from each other, but the mentor role sometimes feels like it’s not a
good fit for people without management experience, or who are still
building confidence professionally. Join us to learn more about mentorship,
and to hear from mentors and mentees about their experiences.

Join Oregon library colleagues on Wednesday, May 18 from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
for a free 90-minute interactive workshop, designed to make us more
conscious mentors. Register

Sponsored by the OLA Leadership Committee.
