[Libs-Or] Grant Progress as Completion is Near!

In July of 2021, the Lane County Law Library (LCLL) and their partner, the Springfield Eugene Tenant Association (SETA) were awarded a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the State Library of Oregon.



The grant funded the project titled “Educating and Empowering Lane County Renters: Creating and Disseminating Legal Information Resources for Tenants.”
As LCLL and SETA draw near the finish line, we wanted to highlight some of the progress with the Oregon library community!


  *   With this project, LCLL and SETA have been producing an array of print and electronic legal information materials in English and Spanish related to current landlord/tenant law.   *   Another part of the project has been enhancing an existing digital information hub website with expanded content that will serve as a comprehensive and reliable public resource for tenants. While the guides are not up yet, you can view the website here<https://www.springfieldeugenetenantassociation.com/> and direct tenants in need of help regarding landlord/tenant law to call SETA’s Hotline at (541) 972-3715. While SETA’s priority is Lane County tenants, they do try to help those that contact them from outside of Lane County.
  *   The LCLL<https://www.lanecounty.org/cms/one.aspx?pageId=4081120> now features a Remote Access Technology Station! Located in the small, private meeting room, the station includes a computer with a webcam, headset and printer, providing patrons who have limited technology or stable internet with a place to conduct court business or meet virtually with an attorney.
