Join us for "Latino Zines: Celebrating Our Cultures and Communities," an
engaging event that showcases the vibrant world of Latino zines. Zines are
self-published booklets or magazines often created by individuals or small
groups to express personal, artistic, or countercultural ideas. Latinos are
keeping our culture alive by creating amazing zines. Increasingly, more and
more libraries are developing zines collections which are very popular
among patrons. Join us to explore the unique voices and stories within
these self-published works that reflect our diverse experiences and rich
cultural heritage. Through discussions and live readings attendees will
gain insight into the creative processes behind zine-making and the impact
of these publications on our communities. Join us to celebrate the power
of words, art, and community connection in the world of Latino zines!
