[Local-Gov-News] Local Government Voice Response System Transfers for October 4th

Treasury experienced an issue with the Local Government Voice Response System (VRS) ACH file containing transactions effective today (10/4/12). This would include Local Government ACH transfers that were phoned in to our Voice Response System between 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 2nd and 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 3rd scheduled for settlement today (October 4th).

As a result of the system issue, Local Governments expecting an ACH pool withdrawal into their bank accounts today instead received the withdrawal funds via either Fed Wire transfer (or book transfer if the receiving account was at US Bank). All Local Government withdrawal transfers that were scheduled to occur today were processed for today.

Local Governments expecting an ACH pool deposit from their bank account into their pool account today will see a one-day delay in the funds being removed from their bank accounts. However, Treasury will be posting the impacted deposits to pool accounts today so that local governments see the deposits as if they occurred as originally scheduled (including related interest accrual), even though funds will not be removed from bank accounts until tomorrow.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue.

Please contact Local Government Customer Service at 1-800-452-0345 if you have any questions.
