Greetings,

The American Library Association is gearing up for "Choose Privacy Week," to be held May 1-7, and the (very timely) theme for 2018 is "Big Data is Watching You."

Check out their April 19th blog post<https://chooseprivacyweek.org/cpw2019-explore-learn-teach-big-data/> to read more about issues surrounding data collection. An hour-long webinar, "A Practical Guide to Privacy Audits<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aq5upxSSkOk&feature=youtu.be>" given by librarians at San Jose Public Library, covers the history of privacy in libraries, talking points about why privacy in libraries is important, and shares tools to jumpstart your efforts to make sure your patrons' data is protected.

Thanks for all that you do to spread the word about these important issues!
