[OLA-IF-News] Congratulations to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund!

At the OLA conference last week, the Intellectual Freedom Committee (IFC) was pleased to present the 2018 Intellectual Freedom Champion Award to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF), headquartered in Portland, OR.  The award was accepted by Executive Director Charles Brownstein, who gave a rousing speech about how library staff and all protectors of intellectual freedom might bridge divisions within our society by approaching all people with empathy.
