Marine Board’s Non-Motorized External Advisory Committee to Meet November 13

The Oregon State Marine Board’s external non-motorized advisory committee will be meeting on November 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training facility, 4190 Aumsville Hwy., in Salem.

             The advisory committee is comprised of a wide variety of stakeholders, from organized clubs to private citizens from around the state. The non-motorized external advisory committee will be making recommendations to the Marine Board on how to best engage and incorporate non-motorized boaters into the future mission of the agency and meet the ever-evolving needs of all boating user groups.

Marine Board staff will be facilitating the meeting with the following agenda:

• Presentations from Marine Board staff on other agency programs (Mission/Vision Advisory Committee decisions, SOBA Conference, AIS Program and NASBLA Paddlesport Education Standards);

• Group discussion on outreach and presentations, and;

• Group discussion of committee recommendations and next steps.
The public is invited to attend and comments will be accepted at the beginning of the meeting.
