Indian Creek Boat Launch to Close at Lake Owyhee State Park

              The Indian Creek boat launch will close on November 11 for a facility upgrade that includes a new, 170-foot section of concrete lunch ramp. The park's Gordon Gulch boat launch also is closed for the season due to Owyhee Reservoir's predictably low-water level throughout the winter months.
The Malheur County boat ramp, just above the dam, will re-open to provide access to the reservoir for recreational boating and fishing.
The Indian Creek boat launch should re-open in late March when the upgrade is completed.
Lake Owyhee State Park is approximately 45 miles southwest of Nyssa. The parks two campgrounds, McCormack and Indian Creek, are also closed for the season, re-opening next spring.
