The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) has issued a statement on social media and children and young adults at the library<http://www.ifla.org/files/assets/libraries-for-children-and-ya/publications/social_media_children_and_young_adults.pdf>. There are so many resources and so many messages we can provide to youth, caregivers, care providers, and our colleagues about social media and online behavior that it can be overwhelming. While IFLA’s messages are not comprehensive they are a good place to start, written in plain language, and they aren’t overwhelming.
Below is the official announcement from IFLA if you are interested.
Thanks,
Katie
