Hi Aimee,

I'd recommend the following:

The *Lumberjanes* series, which is fairly new and wildly popular;
The *Princeless* series, which is also fairly new and wildly popular;
All of Gene Luen Yang's amazing graphic novels, such as *American-born
Chinese, The Shadow Hero, Animal Crackers, Boxers/Saints*, and *The Secret
Coders;*
The *Bone* series by Jeff Smith, which has been around for a while and
still circulates really well;
*Meanwhile* by Jason Shiga, for time well-wasted; and
The *Hereville* books by Barry Deutsch.

Have fun with it!
