Hi everyone,

The New York Public Library is running a free training focused on teen
mental wellbeing and is specifically looking for young adult staff who are
interested in implementing a plan at their own institution that prioritizes
and focuses on teen mental wellbeing. Anyone who works with teens (roughly
ages 12-18) in a library is welcome to apply, but they are especially
seeking rural and suburban library voices to ensure they have a wide
variety of experiences represented.

The training is a virtual, 6-session time commitment with some required
work outside of the sessions. One cohort of 20 participants will meet every
two weeks from October to early November; the second cohort will meet from
early February to early April 2025. For each cohort, 10 spots will be for
NYPL folks and 10 spots will be for folks from other libraries.

way by early September.

I really hope there'll be Oregon library folks who get to do this! :)
