I think this might have come through in my daily digest from YALSA's connect site, but this is the statement I referred to today on the YSCON chat.


While YALSA leadership is exploring the future possibilities for an in-person Symposium, there will be no YALSA Symposium in fall 2024. The YALSA board and staff will continue discussing details related to future YALSA in-person and virtual opportunities.

We know that many of you look forward to attending an in-person event dedicated to sharing effective practices for teen services and networking with other teen services professionals. If you had anticipated attending the YALSA Symposium this fall, we invite you to consider attending other virtual or in-person ALA youth division-hosted education opportunities that will be coming over the next several months. We will share opportunities as they become available. We appreciate the time and consideration that will come with delivering an improved opportunity for YALSA members and teen service library workers.
