[OYAN] STEM Coaching and Summer Reading Meetups this Month

Hello folks,

I wanted to highlight a couple free learning opportunities for you coming up soon:


  1.  Oregon ASK Is offering STEM Coaching sessions<https://oregonask.org/course-template-page/?eventtemplate=73-stem-coaching-with-oregonask> starting this month on January 22nd with a few free sessions, you could attend one or all - This could be a good opportunity if you have been trying to incorporate STEM into your programming, if you currently do so and have questions/want brainstorming help, or if you are a STEM expert and have great ideas to share or want to connect with others doing STEM work with kids. Oregon ASK<https://oregonask.org/> typically focuses their training on afterschool providers, and much of what they do is incredibly meaningful for library staff as well.
  2.  In case you missed it in the Dec 20th iREAD newsletter,<https://mailchi.mp/ila/news-and-updates-from-iread-summer-reading-738867?e=%5bUNIQID> iREAD is hosting a webinar on January 29th<https://www.ila.org/events/ila-noon-network/iread-2024-showcase> through the Illinois Library Association that's basically a follow-up to the initial iREAD webinar we had in December. It will focus on sharing ideas for programs/displays/a little more nuts and bolts-y so if you want a little deeper dive as you start planning summer, this may be helpful. You can register and get a videorecording if you can't attend in person. Any Oregon library staff member or volunteer is welcome to attend.
