[PL-Directors] Prison Library Service

Hello Directors,

 

Do any others of you provide service to correctional facilities?  

If so, I'm interested in whether you do so by contract (compensation?),
intergovernmental agreement, etc. Please send a copy, if available.

 

I ask because we're revising our service contract with the Powder River
Correctional Facility.  Up until July 1, PRCF was able to reciprocate our
bookmobile library service with labor from its work crews.  State budget
cuts to the Dept of Corrections, however, have suspended those work crews so
we need to revise our agreement.

 

I'm wondering whether to provide a bid for library services based on the
property value or non-resident card fee per inmate.

Your ideas welcome.
