We also heard from Alex Topper, Improvement Advisor at Comagine Health, who shared a partnership opportunity for CBOs interested in implementing tobacco cessation activities:

Comagine Health is the Quality Innovation Network - Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) serving a six-state region encompassing Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. We partner with healthcare facilities, health systems, community-based organizations, and other key stakeholders to implement health care quality improvement initiatives for the Medicare program as guided by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). As part of this work, CMS has included a new measure on tobacco cessation, with the goal of increasing tobacco cessation counseling services within community-based organizations and clinic settings by 2024. Our team is looking to partner with one community-based organization in Oregon state that is interested in implementing a tobacco cessation project for adults ages 18-85. This partnership can focus on improving current offerings already in place, or creating new offerings to address tobacco cessation. Some examples of support Comagine Health can provide include: workflow mapping, developing and implementing staff trainings, creating materials and other resources, establishing continuous quality improvement activities, convening partners and facilitating collaborative meetings. We hope to work in close collaboration with the interested organization in order to design support that best matches their specific needs. If you are interested in learning more about a potential partnership, please contact Alex at atopper at comagine.org<mailto:atopper at comagine.org>.

Last but not least, be sure to save the date for our next quarterly OSMN call, scheduled for Thursday, March 16th, 2023 from 1-2 pm Pacific.

In the meantime, don't forget to take advantage of the Oregon Self-Management email listserv, where you can ask questions, share resources, and learn from your fellow program delivery colleagues in Oregon.
