Greetings SORA Members:
 
I’m thrilled chair SORA this year and serve alongside talented folks on the executive committee. To learn more about myself and those folks, see our website <http://oregonresearch.org/>. 
 
We’re gearing up to plan an exciting program for you this year, including three events, monthly happy hour meet-ups, supporting at least one interest group, and launching a data literacy initiative. 
 
We’re requesting your input to drive the program. Please share your thoughts on our annual member survey <http://dcbs.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_a5KA0QXKEyg14JT>.  It works best on desktop computers, but may be done on a mobile device. 
 
Last year, your input through the survey and focus groups prompted us to launch happy hour meet-ups, host our first event in Portland, update the job shadow and information interview program, as well as to consider using social media (more on that to come later this year).
