Hello all!

Quick reminder about our upcoming event next week - The Value of Data.  This will be the first in our Data Literacy Series for 2021.  For this first event, we have two presentations on how data adds value to agency goals and missions, and how you can help communicate that value to others.

Improving Safety and Health for Oregon: Oregon OSHA's Role in the COVID-19 Pandemic
Oregon OSHA, the agency primarily responsible for advocating workplace safety and health, has played a vital role in protecting both workers and customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Aaron Corvin, Public Information Officer for Oregon OSHA, and Tasha Chapman, Senior Research Analyst at DCBS, will discuss how COVID-19 has changed how Oregon OSHA does business and the role data has played in guiding the agency's work.

Communicating the Value of Data to Others
Data-driven decision making is so important in all the work that we do.  Hannah Osinga, Strategic Research Analyst for SAIF Corporation, and Allen Molina, Economist at ODFW, will discuss the best way to communicate the value of data and data-driven decision making to those we work with every day.
