Subject: Rotation opportunity: Drug Price Transparency Program Coordinator

The Policy team in the Division of Financial Regulation has a limited-duration opportunity for the Drug Price Transparency Program Coordinator position (Operations & Policy Analyst 3). For a current state employee, we will consider filling the job as a rotation. The position is scheduled to last through November 30, 2021.

We are looking for the right person to step into a position that plays a key leadership role in implementing a unique regulatory program. The Oregon Drug Price Transparency program, established by HB 4005 (2018), is intended to provide notice and disclosure of information relating to the cost and pricing of prescription drugs in order to provide accountability for prescription drug pricing. The Program Coordinator will also work on a wide variety of policy projects related to the program, including legislation, administrative rulemaking, and engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Duties and responsibilities of the rotation position include:

  * Serving as the department's lead researcher, project coordinator, and policy advisor to advance the goals of the program and study the costs of prescription drugs.
  * Developing and conducting studies to identify cost drivers of prescription drugs and gain a better understanding of drug pricing and supply chain issues.
  * Facilitating policy and rulemaking processes to establish the reporting requirements of drug prices by manufacturers.
  * Leading the fee setting and compliance processes related to reporting of drug costs.
  * Preparing reports for the department and Legislative Assembly.
Diverse candidates and candidates representing historically marginalized communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
