The Oregon Youth Authority is seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our team, playing a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity and accountability of our agency. This position will work closely with technical and professional staff to oversee and execute the agency's accounting and special purpose financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate will lead the fiscal year-end accounting and reporting process, ensure compliance with GAAP, GASB, and DAS standards, and prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports. With a strong proficiency in the Statewide Financial Management Application (SFMA) and a deep understanding of complex financial accounting functions, you will provide expert oversight and guidance to our accounting team. Additionally, your ability to apply an Equity Lens in all aspects of your work will be essential in aligning our financial practices with the agency's mission and values. If you have a demonstrated history of coordinating and preparing government ACFR and disclosures, we encourage you to apply and contribute to the success of our agency.

Top Duties of the Position

  *   Lead the fiscal year-end accounting and reporting for the agency, including government bonds and Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards
  *   Senior accounting member to review and oversee work prepared by professional accounting staff in conformance with GAAP, GASB, and DAS accounting standards
  *   Prepare and maintain agency financial reports and accounting structures
