[Answerland-summit] Proposal submitted

Thanks, Erica! I think I will stick to the original plan of having Margaret from OSU present in July and keep this other of idea in mind in case we need another speaker.

Yes, the Historic Oregon Newspapers is different from Oregon Digital. Oregon Digital is a partnership with OSU and UO libraries and is provides digital access to some of their special collections.

So I think having 2 separate sessions is a good idea.

Thanks!
Sara

I think 45 minutes would appeal to many people! Am I right in thinking that Historic Oregon Newspapers is outside the umbrella of Oregon Digital? I wonder if it might make sense as a separate session. I know I would benefit from understanding it (and all of these collections) better!

Thanks, Lori! What do you all think about Margaret’s proposal for her presentation?
“I think this was a 30 minute presentation? I may be joined by Janine Salwasser, who would talk about Oregon Explorer, and that might make the presentation a bit longer. 45 minutes?”

Would that be a good length of time? I was also thinking about reaching out to UO to see if they could talk about their digital projects, like the Historic Oregon Newspapers<https://oregonnews.uoregon.edu/>. But that might make the session, too long. What do you think?

Thanks for the heads up, Sara. Here is the process we've done in the past<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DdX8kvmSYxvO8RQd3_6X-XqEniWitujzZ92bOqU3o0M/edit?usp=sharing> (we've already done several of the steps). If you can reach out and confirm the date/time with her, then you and I can draft a promotional email and start sending it out to our marketing list. Additionally, you can ignore using the state Zoom and set it up using yours if you like. You and I can also set up a little virtual chat this week or next to work on details if that works for you.

Thanks!

Is there anything else I should do?

Thanks,
