 Working Minds Train-the-Trainer Workshop

  *   HR
  *   Employee Assistance Professionals
  *   Safety
  *   Wellness
  *   Mental Health/Suicide Prevention Trainers
  *   Others who are interested in training their community/workplace

 WHAT: The training prepares trainers to deliver a 2- or 4-hour suicide prevention course for workplaces (see flyer attached).

*        The Challenge: In today's complex world, balancing work-life issues is becoming more challenging than ever. On average, 20% of employees will face a significant personal or professional problem that will disrupt their lives and their productivity at work. Mental health challenges among employees can cause decreased productivity, absenteeism, presenteeism, increased direct and indirect operating costs, and unhappy or volatile work environments. The devastating effects of suicide cost U.S. businesses over $100 billion annually.

*        The Curriculum: The Working Minds training covers:

1)      Making the Case for Suicide Prevention in the Workplace

2)      What to Look for at Work: Warning Signs and Risk Factors

3)      How to Have Critical Conversations about Suicide

4)      Suicide Postvention in the Workplace
